Privacy

This is my personal site. I am Ibukun Dairo, I run it myself, and I decide what it collects and why. Anything on this page can be raised with me at hello@ibukundairo.com.

Apart from the Resume Builder this site has no accounts, no forms and no payments, so there is nothing else here for me to store about you. That leaves three things:

• Standard technical data in short-lived hosting logs, described under Hosting.
• Analytics, only if you accept them, described under Analytics and Consent.
• Your CV, a job description and the documents made from them, only if you use the Resume Builder.

What Loads and When

I use Google Analytics to see which parts of this site people actually read. It loads only if you press Accept on the banner. Decline and nothing loads, no cookie is set, and the site works identically.

What Google Receives

If you accept, Google receives a cookie identifier, your IP address, which pages you visit here, the page you arrived from and basic device and browser details. Google uses the IP address in passing to derive an approximate location and then discards it. I see aggregate reports, never individuals. There is no advertising tag on this site and no remarketing: none of my employer’s advertising pixels run here.

Changing Your Mind

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie preferences in the footer. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, that overrides an earlier acceptance for as long as it is sent.

The home page can embed a Spotify player, and it loads only after you press Play Recent Episodes. When it loads, Spotify receives the request and can set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Links out to GitHub, LinkedIn and X are ordinary links: those sites are their own.

Signing In

The Resume Builder is the one part of this site that needs an account. You sign in with Google through Firebase Authentication, which gives the builder your Google account identifier and email address.

What Is Stored

The CV you upload or paste, the job details and the documents made from them are stored for 24 hours so you can come back to them, in Firestore and Cloud Storage in the United States. After that a run can no longer be opened and its data is deleted automatically. If you give a link to a job, the builder fetches that page to read the job description.

How the Documents Are Written

To write the documents, the text of your CV and the job description is sent to Google Gemini through Cuesoft’s proxy. It is used only to generate your documents. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with anyone else and nothing is used for training. Nothing is submitted to any employer on your behalf.

Daily Limit

Each account can make a limited number of runs a day. A count of your runs for the day is kept so the limit can apply.

Asking for Earlier Deletion

To have a run deleted before the 24 hours are up, email hello@ibukundairo.com from the address you signed in with and say which run you mean.

The site runs on Google Firebase App Hosting. Standard technical data (your IP address, browser, the pages you asked for and when) appears in short-lived infrastructure logs used for security and reliability. I do not read them for any other reason.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and, if you are in the EU or the UK, the EU or UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• access the personal data I hold about you;
• have anything that is wrong corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• object to how I process it.

Email hello@ibukundairo.com to use any of them. You can also complain to a data protection regulator: in Nigeria that is the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, and in the EU or the UK it is the authority in your country.

I update this page when what the site does changes. The effective date at the top says which version you are reading.
