11+ years in, three tracks.

The journey started in a classroom without a computer. By April 2015 I was writing software for a living, building fintech for lenders in Lagos and Oyo while finishing a computer science degree at the University of Ibadan. Marketplace backends, mobile apps, and the first Linux servers I was trusted not to break. That is where the reliability habit started: when the platform moves other people’s money, "it works on my machine" is not a standard.

From 2019 the work went global and stayed remote. I spent two years building the OneUptime open-source monitoring platform, then ran two contracts in parallel for nearly four years. At Traive, an agri-fintech, I was the founding SRE, the only infrastructure engineer from pre-seed onward, and built its multi-tenant Kubernetes platform. At Pluto TV (Paramount Skydance), I authored the telemetry standard now running across 70+ microservices.

Through all of it the constant has been Cuesoft, building since April 2017, first as a services practice, now an AI company that builds its own engineers across Africa. The next track is formal: an MBA finished in 2025, and from August 2026 a PhD at the University of North Dakota, turning more than a decade of production reliability practice into research on predicting failures before they page anyone.

Three tracks, one thesis. Reliability is people, systems and proof.

The tracks compound rather than compete: the platform work sets the standard, Cuesoft trains engineers to it, and the research formalizes what production keeps teaching.

Industry

Platform Engineer, Pluto TV (Paramount Skydance)

Owns observability standards for a streaming platform serving millions: one telemetry library across 70+ microservices, golden-signal dashboards, and SLO-driven monitoring that cut critical incidents by 35% and mean time to recovery by 40%.

Founder

Cuesoft Inc.

An AI company that builds its own engineers. CueTA™ trains them on live AI work, CueLABS™ proves them in public on open-source products, and CueHIRE™ delivers them to companies as scoped builds, managed teams and direct hires.

Research

PhD, University of North Dakota

From August 2026: asking whether multi-modal observability data, logs, metrics, traces and events read together, can predict infrastructure faults accurately enough to act on.

The company. Train. Prove. Deliver.

Cuesoft is the AI company that builds its own engineers. AI has changed what a useful engineer is, and Africa is where Cuesoft builds the new kind: trained on live AI work, proven in the open, delivered to companies. One flywheel, three divisions. Building since April 2017, incorporated in the United States as Cuesoft Inc. (Dover, Delaware) and in Nigeria as Cuesoft Nigeria Limited (Ikoyi, Lagos).

TrainsSince 2024

CueTA™

The talent academy. Engineers learn on live AI work: agentic systems, AI automation and AI-assisted engineering.

ProvesSince 2023

CueLABS™

Open-source internships. Cohorts ship Cuesoft’s open-source products in public on GitHub, where the work speaks for itself.

DeliversSince 2025

CueHIRE™

The delivery arm: end-to-end scoped builds, managed engineers, and referral hiring for companies that want proven AI-native talent.

Each division is run day to day by its managing director: Dr. Ayanfe Oluyomi (CAIO, MD of CueTA™), Mubin Sheidu (COO, MD of CueHIRE™) and Olaife Olawore (CTO, MD of CueLABS™).

Proof, not promises.

  • Cueprise, a licensing-based commerce engine for African businesses, run as one isolated deployment per client.
  • The CueShow™, the Cuesoft podcast, with a 20,000+ subscriber YouTube channel.
  • Over $250,000 in cloud credits and partner support secured from AWS, Google Cloud, Datadog and GitHub.

The track record. Dated and checkable.

The research programme. Reliability, predicted.

Platform and reliability work keeps teaching the same lesson: observability tools alone do not prevent failures. Even with mature dashboards, monitors and SLOs, teams still react to incidents instead of avoiding them. My PhD research at the University of North Dakota, from August 2026, is about closing that gap with AI-driven methods for infrastructure reliability: machine learning that fuses production logs, metrics and traces into fault predictions that are accurate, early and explainable enough to act on.

The questions

  • Can multi-modal observability, logs, metrics and traces read together, predict faults accurately under real production workloads?
  • Can SLO-aware learning prevent incidents hours before impact, not minutes?
  • Can explainable predictions earn an operator’s trust in the middle of a high-stress incident?

At UND that means the Artificial Intelligence Research (AIR) Center, the Talon high-performance computing cluster and a Carnegie R1 research culture. The plan runs from fused-telemetry anomaly models through causal fault localization to human-centered studies of how predictions should reach engineers, published at systems and AI conferences with open-source prototypes tested in production.

The long game: resilient infrastructure for emerging markets, where reliability and cost both matter, with the research feeding Cuesoft and a group that bridges academia and industry.
